The assignment is to take a familiar, prosaic material, cardboard, and transmute it into something of extraordinary value, transcending expectations of the material.

Design Process

Wanted to explore the inner layer of the cardboard since it reminded me of a tire tread, which lead me to to creating a snowmobile. In order to achieve the shape of the seat and back of the snowmobile, I scored the back of both.

A problem I faced once the first prototype was complete was the placement of the tread. I placed the tread too far back on the seat, so I would like to move the tread up on the seat.
